The range of enriched natural uranium assemblies is aimed at clients looking to obtain assembled fuel in one single transaction.
AREVA handles the entire uranium cycle: the raw material is converted and enriched at the required rate within its plants. The fuel is then assembled by its workers.
Reliability and performance
The assembly ranges are:
- ATRIUM™ for boiling water reactors,
- AGORA™, AFA 3G™, HTP™ for forced-feed water models and Harmoni control rod clusters.
They provide greater performance in terms of radiation exposure and are characterized by their high degree of reliability and excellent thermo-hydraulic yields.
The assembly design is optimized depending on the management methods required by customers.

An industrial mechanism adapted to the entire market cycle
- Mines: our mining reserves are estimated at greater than 200,000 tons. This potential spread over the continents of North America, Africa, and Asia, added to our portfolio of operating projects and a diversified exploration activity, demonstrate our capacity to serve our clients today and tomorrow.
- Conversion chemistry: with 25% of the market and investments totaling more than €600 million to replace current assets, AREVA is the world leader when it comes to conversion of uranium into UF6.
- Enrichment: the Georges-Besse II plant, equipped with centrifuging technology, will gradually reach full capacity in 2016. The current Eurodif remains in service and ensures the transition in order to guarantee our clients continuity of delivery. AREVA has also launched an enrichment plant project in the United States in Eagle Rock. It will enter into production as of 2014 and will be dedicated to the American market.
- Fabrication: AREVA's global fabrication capacity represents 3,000 tons of uranium a year, in other words one-third of global production capacity of light water fuel. We have plants in France, Germany, the United States, and Belgium at our disposal.
