Packaging for products upstream in the cycle
The packaging and outer packaging meet customers' needs and the regulatory requirements enforced , whatever the type or physical form of the product (liquid, solid or gas).
Packaging for products downstream in the cycle
- Spent fuel: several types of packaging suitable for the transportation and storage of used fuels are available.
- MOX and ERU: the comprehensive range enables the transportation of recycled MOX and ERU fuels at all stages of their fabrication, up to their use in power plants.
- Waste: packaging solutions for all types of waste are available. The international scope of the AREVA enables us to respond efficiently to even the most challenging specifications.
Packaging is designed to customer specifications for the type of material transported, the transportation mode and regulations.
The catalog, which currently includes over 200 packaging designs, is constantly under review in order to adapt to the latest needs of our customers and to technological and regulatory developments.
In order to meet with their approval, each form of packaging is subject to a series of resistance tests under different accident conditions. The product design also takes customer infrastructures into account.
