4 complementary communication initiatives

AREVA is currently the world leader in its areas of operation. Serving as the benchmark for the energy sector, the group bases its communications strategy on 4 main initiatives: visibility, education, dialogue and internal cohesion.
Visibility: creating recognition
In a universe made up of strong and competitive historical brands, AREVA capitalizes on its established personality to make its mark.
To expand its renown and credibility, AREVA relies on communication established around:
- innovative advertising campaigns, geared towards the general public and decision-makers in Europe and the United States. They enable and foster discourse about the brand.
The brand thus develops around a modern, unifying name and a unique identity anchored in a sustainable development approach.
Education: clarity and understanding
EPRTM, MOX, isotopes: complex concepts, acronyms... References to the domains of science and technology are inherent to the group's operations. In order to be perfectly comprehensible, AREVA endeavors to clearly present its operations, through implementation of detailed graphics, diagrams, and industrial illustrations. This willingness to communicate in layman's terms takes shape through a rational discourse based on tangible proof.
AREVA broadcast in France and across Europe
In the spring of 2008 in France and across Europe, AREVA returned to television and the Internet with its ad campaign entitled “Energy Experts”. The program consisted of a modern, fun 30-second spot that consolidated its reputation and presented AREVA as an increasingly attractive brand.
This "Energy experts" advertising spot illustrates this education initiative. It directs the group's activities at each stage of the industrial cycle.
Dialogue: providing answers
The energy sector - and nuclear energy in particular - always gives rise to strong feelings and debate.
AREVA’s operations raise questions from the public, from civil society, and from experts and others. Always careful to inform everyone of its activities, the group is committed to:
- contributing the means necessary to keep interested parties informed by responding to questions, and furnishing reliable, educational information,
- participating in and encouraging continual debate,
- pursuing dialogue and cooperation with interested parties in the territories where it is present, in order to better listen to citizens worries and enrich their reflection.
Cohesion: encouraging synergies
With more than 50,000 employees worldwide, speaking more than twenty languages, AREVA brings together profiles that are as varied as they are complementary. This cosmopolitan character constitutes a major asset for the group. And, to take up the challenge of cohesion, AREVA promotes this diversity through a solid corporate culture. The aim is to allow all our employees to share a set of common values:
- Team spirit
- Expansion of potentials
- Combination of talents and areas of expertise
