Fighting Aids: AREVA’s commitment

With more than 33 million HIV-positive people around the world, Aids has heavy social and economic consequences. Every player of society is mobilizing to curb the spread of the pandemic, including companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and governments
AREVA is participating in this international movement through an Aids policy that creates the necessary framework for the group's contributions in countries in which it is based.
Consistent with that policy, AREVA Foundation is funding research programs in one of its fields of action, health, as well as projects in the field aimed at providing help to people affected by the virus.

Research programs with the Institut Pasteur
AREVA Foundation supports the Institut Pasteur of Shangai and is funding basic and applied research programs on viral and emerging disease vectors including HIV/Aids and it's prevention.
