Germany: Kunstpalais, Erlangen Museum of Modern Art

AREVA is a patron of “Rite of Passage”, an exhibition in Germany of works by Mathilde Rosier, a contemporary French artist.
Between dream and reality
Mathilde Rosier uses a broad variety of media in her work. She creates manmade natural worlds and paper theatres, performs on the piano and in public places, and makes films.
Her animal decoupages appear in her watercolors and gouaches, which are then incorporated into her installations. She repeatedly crosses the boundaries between art, theatre, dreams and reality.
Invitation to a world of fantasy
“Rite of Passage”, the exhibition of her works in Erlangen, features original works of art combining several techniques, from magical installations to theatrical mise-en-scènes that borrow style elements from the video arts and puppet theatre. Visitors of all ages will enjoy searching for the details hidden in her works.
AREVA Erlangen employees were invited to discover the original exhibition with free passes and guided tours. Their children were also welcomed to sign up for one of the three workshops held for the occasion: “Paper Theatre Worlds”, “Stop-motion Film” or “Artist Book”.
The exhibition, which opened with a public performance by Mathilde Rosier on April 7, 2011, runs through June 12.
