France : AREVA's support for the Utah Beach Landing Museum

AREVA supports the renovation and extension of the Utah Beach Landing Museum in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Normandy
Located on the very site of the US landing on June 6, 1944, the Utah Beach Museum tells the story of the military and technical feats that made Madeleine Beach famous.
Vestiges of the landing can still be seen on the beach, but the most valuable memorabilia are kept in the museum, built around a former blockhouse.
The museum seeks to preserve the memory of the events of June 1944 and recounts the history of the Normandy beach landings and the human and technical exploits that accompanied them. With a unique collection of equipment, weapons, archive photos and recollections, the museum brings D-Day back to life in a new, modern and luminous building of more than 2,000 square meters. The new building was inaugurated on June 6th, 2011.
Through its support, AREVA wishes to illustrate the ties of friendship that link the United States and France.
