Regions
In light of its significant industrial presence and the need for close contact with customers, two Region were created in Germany and North America.
The Regional Senior Executive Vice Presidents represent the Group in their respective regions and are vested with overall authority in their positions as corporate officers.
In particular, the Regional Management Organizations are responsible for safety, the customer relationship, coordination of the local presence – most notably by building talent – and contributing to the Group's performance within their regional scope of responsibility.
A balance is maintained between local autonomy and consistency with the Group’s worldwide industrial, commercial and communication activities by dividing roles and responsibilities between the operating divisions and regional management organizations, on the one hand, and between the functional departments and the regional management organizations on the other
