Senior Executive Vice President, Engineering and Projects (acting)
After graduating from the French Business School ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales), Laurent Corbier joined the COGEMA Group (now part of the Group AREVA) in 1979 in the Exploration and Mining Division, and has held various successive postings in operational entities in several foreign countries.
Between 1992 and 2000, he managed the Group’s corporate activities in Australia, based in Sydney for four years, and then held various responsibilities in Business Development and Marketing within the Group’s Engineering and Fuel Divisions in France. In July 2000 he was appointed Marketing Director within COGEMA’s Commercial and International Department. From July 2003 to July 2006, he was seconded by AREVA to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Laurent Corbier is Vice-President Sustainable Development and Continuous Improvement since mid 2006.
He is also the current Chair of the Commission on Environment and Energy of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
