Nuclear Power Plant Exporters' Principles of Conduct initiative
The AREVA Group is an adopter of the Nuclear Power Plant Exporters' Principles of Conduct initiative which has been announced in Sept 2011 by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The world’s major civilian nuclear power plant industrial vendors have indeed articulated and consolidated, with the coordination of the Carnegie Endowment and its internationally recognized experts, a set of principles. The principles reaffirm and enhance national and international governance and oversight, and incorporate recommended best practices in particular for the six principles: Safety, Security, Environmental Protection, Compensation for Nuclear Damage, Non proliferation and Ethics, with the goal of developing such good practices that should guide the exporters of nuclear power plants, their customers and suppliers.
Additionally to the international and national applicable regulations, the AREVA Group is fully devoted to contribute and to implement, in good faith, all best practices established by the industrial sector under these six principles.
