Becoming the leader in carbon-free solutions
In order to position itself as leader in carbon-free electricity production, AREVA has fixed the following objectives:
- Build 1/3 of new power plants on the accessible market
- Securing the fuel cycle for its current and future clients
- Develop its technologically mature, sustainable activities for the handling of spent fuel
- Become a recognized industry player, occupying an significant place within the renewable energies sector, targeting three markets: wind energy, biomass and hydrogen, and confirming itself as leader in providing green solutions, responding to energy demands during periods of regular consumption, as well as during peak periods
Capitalizing on its integrated business
AREVA is seeking to capitalize on its integrated business model to spearhead the nuclear revival. The group is present across all industrial activities in this sector. This integrated business enables the group to better respond to the strategic challenges facing its utility customers. Setting the standard for the market, it is imitated by many competitors.
AREVA is developing internal synergies to bring adapted, innovative offers to market and to serve the needs of all its customers, thanks to its unique positioning over the fuel chain.
Leveraging its experience and know-how
AREVA guarantees the development of its activities while complying with stringent safety, security and risk prevention requirements.
The group has recognized technological prowess across the whole nuclear chain, based on 50 years of research and learnings, on its own procedures and on a range of new generation reactors, to meet the energy challenges posed by the 21st century. These aspects give the group a significant advantage, particularly with latest generation reactors and on the back end of the fuel cycle.
Implementing its development strategy
In order to respond to its customers' needs, the AREVA group has developed a lasting development strategy, resting on a balanced implementation between Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa.
Furthermore, AREVA is seeking to foster internal growth through constant significant industrial investment. This investment aims to develop or update some of its production capacity and also to develop the most advanced technology for group customers.
The group also intends to develop itself through targeted acquisitions and by using strategic partnerships with regional players in order to accelerate market penetration. This partnership policy brings specific know-how and knowledge of local markets and customer needs.
Its development strategy is also based on recruitment, integration and training of staff for the preparation and anticipation of group needs.
