2009: Year of Turkey in France
This event was the result of a decision taken by the French and Turkish presidents in 2006. It follows an event called Printemps Français, which was held in Turkey that same year.
Year of Turkey runs from July 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010. It offers Turkey an opportunity to showcase its culture, skills and expertise in the areas of science, economics and industry in various regions of France.
In collaboration with Culturesfrance, AREVA joined a patronage committee that provides financial support for this event. This committee will provide a cultural display, as well as an economic display with several exchanges between Turkish and French manufacturers.
AREVA will be supporting 2 exhibitions in particular:
- Istanbul – Ville monde at the Grand Palais
- Vanmour at the Valenciennes Museum
