France: Festival de la correspondance de Grignan
When letters light up the stage
Since 2001, AREVA has been supporting the Festival de la correspondance de Grignan, which pays tribute to the art of letter-writing. The 2008 festival highlighted correspondence between great painters.
In the company of famous painters
For more than 10 years, the Festival de la correspondance de Grignan in the French municipal department of Drôme has been paying tribute to the art of letter-writing. AREVA has been devoted to this event since 2001. The 2008 festival was dedicated to correspondence between famous painters.
For the occasion, AREVA organized a workshop dedicated to the creation of a fresco 13 meters in length.
Workshop: from writing to illustration
For 3 days, AREVA employees and members of their families, group retirees and even festival attendees worked to complete this creation. They drew inspiration from Diego Rivera, whose correspondence with Frida Kahlo was re-enacted at the festival. The fresco also served as part of the set for one of the performances.
A private showing took place one evening, which gave group president Mrs. Lauvergeon an opportunity to meet clients, members of parliament, local elected officials and employees of Tricastin.
