What types of projects can be submitted?

Before submitting your project, please consider the following criteria:
Type of project
Patronage and Partenerships Committee only supports projects concerning these central themes:
- North-South development;
- Energy and climate change.
Project location
The project must take place in a country where the AREVA group has a significant presence, preferably near one of its sites.
Project advocates
AREVA funds only those projects submitted by associations that have been in existence for at least 3 years, foundations or NGOs. Administrative and legal documents proving the association or organization's existence and financial solvency are required.
AREVA can not provide support for personal projects.
Expertise and professionalism
Project advocates must be experienced and possess an excellent knowledge of the field (socio-economic and educational conditions, environmental issues, etc.) at both local and national levels.
Project feasibility
The project must be:
- ongoing and must not be financed solely by AREVA,
- financially and administratively autonomous in the long term,
- described in detail, with clearly-defined objectives and a business plan.
What AREVA does not finance
AREVA excludes the following types of projects:
- Sporadic events (exhibitions, colloquia, events, gala dinners, etc.)
- Projects located in countries where AREVA has no operations
- Projects for individuals (study abroad, student exchanges, etc.)
- Projects with no concrete results (observatories, etc.)
- Operating expenses for associative bodies (wages, lease payments, etc.)
- Humanitarian concerns, expeditions, etc.
How to submit your project
Once you are sure that your project meets AREVA's selection criteria, you may:
- download and fill out the form (pdf, 2,16Mo),
- return the completed form and your file to the following address:
AREVA - Patronage and Partnership Department
1 place Jean Millier
92084 Paris La Défense Cedex
File follow-up
Your complete file—finalized project along with the requested legal and financial documents—is evaluated by the Patronage team.
If it meets AREVA's criteria, it will be submitted to the Patronage and Partnerships Committee, which meets once per quarter. You will be informed by mail of the Committee's decision.
The Patronage and Partnerships Committee is made up of employees, representatives of different entities and competence areas within the group (legal, scientific, operational, etc.). The Committee reviews and selects projects that correspond to AREVA's patronage themes.
An agreement is signed for each project that AREVA supports. The agreement governs and defines the partnership between the association and AREVA, and specifies the duties and obligations of each party.
