Alain-Pierre RAYNAUD, has joined the AREVA group as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee. He replaces Gérald ARBOLA, who was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of the group on June 29, 2006.
Alain-Pierre RAYNAUD, 52, is graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris and has a doctorate in economics. Most of his working life has been spent with Renault and Nissan. He began his career as a financial analyst and was head of the Italian subsidiary of the Worms Bank, before moving to Renault in 1987. It was here, in the Finance Department, that he consolidated his professional experience as Head of Financial Operations, and subsequently Cost Control Director, and member of the group's Management Committee.
In 2003 he moved to Japan as a member of the Executive Committee of Nissan, where he was in charge of the Cost Control and IT Services Departments and of the group's financial operations (mergers and acquisitions).
