Brief
September 17, 2002
Professor David King, scientific advisor to the British government, has indicated strong support for economic aid to the country's nuclear program, especially in light of the urgency of the climate change issue. According to Professor King, nuclear is the only energy capable of leveling off greenhouse gas emissions and the nuclear industry should therefore be exempt from the climate change tax, which costs British Energy up to 100 million pounds per year.
