Switzerland: the nuclear industry should help reduce CO2 emissions

"Switzerland would be ill-advised to abandon nuclear power, whereas Finland has approved a fifth unit and the United States has approved the 2010 startup of a new power plant," states Bruno Pellaud, chairman of the Swiss Association for Atomic Energy (ASPEA). Meanwhile, the director of the Union Suisse des Arts et Métiers expressed his opinion that, without nuclear power, Switzerland would be overly dependent on energy imports.
