Brief
August 19, 2002
South Korea would like to export its nuclear technology to Vietnam, Romania, China and the United States, according to the South Korean minister of commerce, industry and energy (MOCIE). Last May, South Korea proposed a feasibility study to the Vietnamese government for that country's first nuclear power plant. Korean utility KHNP is also seeking participation in projects relating to construction of a power plant in Romania, and it has targeted new U.S. reactors for component exports.
