United States: Brunswick-1 and 2 generating capacity increased

The NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) approved a power uprating for units 1 at 2 at the Brunswick power plant in North Carolina. Unit 1 generating capacity will rise from 841 to 958 MWe, and unit 2 from 835 to 951 MWe, for a total increase of 15% per reactor. The reactors have been in service since 1975.
