French Sustainable Development Commission created

The French government has announced the creation of a French commission to prepare for the World Summit on Sustainable Development to be held in Johannesburg from 26 August to 4 September. The Commission will consist of "members of the community" and will present their proposals during the national Sustainable Development Days of 1 and 2 July in Rennes, France, where Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin is scheduled to make an appearance.
