During a European Union seminar on the future of energy in Europe, Donald Johnston, secretary general of the OECD, argued in favor of nuclear power, claiming that "we cannot plan for the future nor hope to achieve the objectives of the Kyoto agreement without seriously reconsidering the role of nuclear power."
