Theseo, a European network of scientists for the study of the ozone layer

The Third European Stratospheric Experiment on Ozone, or Theseo, is a project funded by the European Commission to study the causes of ozone layer reduction. It brings together Europe's leading scientists and has propelled Europe to the leading position in this subject worldwide. The program has inspired Philippe Busquin, European Commission of Research, to advocate integrated projects selected by independent experts chosen by Brussels for inclusion in the sixth Europe-wide program on research and development, to begin 1 January 2003.
