Phénix restart authorized

The French ministries of Ecology and Industry have announced the partial restart of the Phénix fast breeder reactor at Marcoule. The reactor will be used for radioactive waste transmutation experiments, operating at two-thirds of rated capacity. Final shutdown is scheduled for 2008.
