Japan's METI wants more nuclear power and less Middle Eastern oil

This summer, the Japanese Ministry of the Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) will issue a ten-year energy plan prepared cooperatively with the Japanese Federation of Electric Power Companies (FEPC). The document will include measures for reducing Japan's reliance on Middle Easter oil and facilitating new reactor projects.
