Russia to commission three new reactors by 2010

In Russia, Alexander Rumyantsev, the head of ROSATOM, has signed an order listing three units planned to start operations by 2010 : Volgodonsk-2 in 2008, Balakovo-5 in 2010 and Kalinin-4 in 2010. A yearly target growth of at least 8 TWh of nuclear electricity has also been set.
