Appointments at COGEMA

Following the COGEMA General Meeting held on 13 June, the Board of Directors appointed Didier Benedetti Chief Operating Officer of COGEMA. Mr. BENEDETTI will also be a member of the AREVA Executive Committee.The following were named Senior Executive Vice Presidents of COGEMA:Christian GOBERT,Yves COUPIN, Sustainable Development and Constant Progress,Gilbert LEHMANN, Finance.

Didier BENEDETTI, 49, holds a degree in engineering from ESIEA and is a graduate of the IAE of Paris. He worked previously for Schlumberger, Thomson and Fiat.

Christian GOBERT, 58, is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris. He has been Executive Vice President of COGEMA since 1983.

Yves COUPIN, 59, is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris. He joined COGEMA in 1983. He will remain Executive Vice President of the Reprocessing-Recycling-Engineering Sector, a position he has held since June 2000.

Gilbert LEHMANN, 56, is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds advanced degrees in economics. He joined COGEMA as Chief Financial Officer in September 2001.
