Spent fuel coming from Germany arriving at the Valognes rail terminal

Three casks of spent fuel from German nuclear power plants arrived at the Valognes rail terminal serving Cogema-La Hague on July 4th at 15:10 pm.
The fuel elements will be stored at the La Hague pools for cooling, and will then be reprocessed to recover recyclable materials and condition the final waste for return to Germany for disposal.
