Spent fuel coming from the Netherlands expected at the Valognes railway terminal.

A shipment of spent fuel (1 TN 17-2 cask, including 7 assemblies) left the Borssele nuclear power plant (Netherlands) to the COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant, on June, 18th 2002. This transport is expected to arrive at the Valognes railway terminal on June, 21th after 9 am.

This transport lies within the context of the 1993 contract signed between EPZ and COGEMA for the reprocessing of spent fuel from their nuclear plant.  This operation will strictly conform to national and international regulations.
