Spent fuel coming from the Netherlands arriving at the Valognes rail terminal

A shipment of spent fuel (one cask) left the Borssele nuclear power plant (Netherlands) to the COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant, on May 15th 2002. It is expected to arrive at the Valognes railway terminal on May 17th some time after 9h00 am.
This transport lies within the context of the 1993 contract signed between EPZ and COGEMA, for the reprocessing of spent fuel from their nuclear plant. This operation strictly conforms to national and international regulations.
