On Monday December 18th, 2000, FEPC, COGEMA and BNFL announced that the voyage route for the sixth return shipment of high level radioactive waste from France to Japan would be communicated on Wednesday December 20th, 2000.
The "Pacific Swan" has left Cherbourg on Tuesday December 19th, 2000, at 08 : 00 p.m. local time. She is now en route to Japan via Cape Horn. Approximate timing of arrival in Japan is during the second half of February 2001.
