Y2K compliance of the COGEMA Group status of Y2K rollover of COGEMA Group facilities
Press release
January 01, 2000
COGEMA has set up Y2K monitoring groups at its headquarters and at each of its sites. As of 1:30 am on January 1, 2000, no incident had been reported, nor were there any power interruptions or unforeseen telecommunication problems. Except for the EURODIF uranium enrichment plant, which is designed to operate continuously, the COGEMA Group's production and transportation operations were shut down, as they are every year at this time, and will start up again during the month of January. In the meantime, only essential safety and security systems will operate at the production sites. Some personnel will remain on call after January 1, 2000 to monitor the restart of the various production units. Approximately 750 personnel were involved in Y2K rollover activities, both at the production plants and at headquarters.
