EURYSIS MESURES picks up speed

EURISYS MESURES, part of the Engineering and Services Division in the COGEMA Group, is owned 55% by SGN and 45% by the SAGEM group. It specializes in nuclear measurements and instrumentation, with annual sales revenue of over 200 million French francs (US $ 35 million), including 35% abroad.
To further its growth, EURISYS MESURES will acquire a 51% stake in North American companies, APTEC and NRC, specializing in fixed and portable radiological protection, and in spectrometry electronics. These two companies, based in Toronto and Philadelphia respectively, will earn sales revenue of around US $ 25 million in 1999, with a workforce of 170.
Through this acquisition, EURISYS MESURES, already a European leader in its field, with sales of US $ 60 million, of which 30% in North America, 20% in Asia, 30% in France and 20% in the rest of Europe, will join the world five foremost groups in nuclear instrumentation and significantly broaden its product range.
