Treatment activity :
During this period, the Establishment treated(1) 27.58 tons of fuel assemblies from a batch of EDF power plants and 4.39 tons of fuel assemblies from a batch of OBRIGHEIM german power plant. From all treated assemblies, a total of 359.8 tons have been processed to date this year.
Shipment activity :
May the 17th, two shipments arrived at the railway terminal of Valognes. One cask containing 7 fuel assemblies coming from Borssele, Netherland, and four casks containing 48 fuel assemblies coming from german power plants (MULHEIM-KARLICH, BROKDORF and ISAR)

Works of disassembling, in the zone of marling, of the old pipe of liquid releases are in progress accordance with the program.
The results of analyses of the samples performed in accordance with the specific programme of monitoring of the environment of the site are all lower than 1 Bq/g.
(1)the Treatment consists in separating, within spent fuel, on the one hand, the reusable materials - uranium and plutonium - in order to recycle them and, on the other hand, the ultimate residues - fission products and other waste - in order to condition them in a sure way.
