UP2 plant :
The UP2 plant is on shutdown period for maintenance. A total of 20 canisters have been produced at the R7 vitrification facility. UP3 plant : At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of GROHNDE* fuel is in progress in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 207 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year. A total of 33 canisters have been produced at the T7 vitrification facility.

*GROHNDE : german PWR reactor.

Shipments :
Three casks of spent fuel from German nuclear power plants are arrived at the COGEMA La Hague rail terminal in Valognes on March 22nd at 14:44 pm. All these spent fuel assemblies will be stored in the La Hague's cooling storage ponds.
They will be then reprocessed in order to separate the reusable matters and to encapsulate the ultimate residues which will be returned back to Germany for storage.
