UP2 plant :
At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 900 MWe EDF fuel is in progress in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 677 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.
At the R7 vitrification facility, lines B and C are in service. Line A is on standby. A total of 444 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 900 MWe EDF fuel began in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 141 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.
At the T7 vitrification facility, line A is in service. Lines B and C are on standby. A total of 249 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

On December the 5th, 2001, at 09h00 pm. local time, the seventh shipment of vitrified residues from COGEMA La Hague leaved Cherbourg to Japan. A total of 6 casks containing 152 canisters of vitrified residues have been loaded on the Pacific Sandpiper.
