» Jean-Pierre MOUROUX is appointed Chief Executive Officer of SGN and Director of COGEMA's Engineering business unit. He replaces Jean-François REZZI in these positions who will be in charge of special projects in the Services Sector of COGEMA.
» Nicolas Swetchine is appointed as Vice President for International Marketing and Sales at COGEMA. He replaces Bernard LENAIL who has retired.
Biography
Jean-Pierre MOUROUX, 50, holds an engineering degree from HEI-Lille. He joined SGN in 1979 as a process engineer. In 1983, he began working in Sweden in the CLAB project (unloading and interim storage of spent fuel). From 1985 to 1991, he took part in the construction of the UP3 installation at the La Hague plant and was subsequently on the staff of the Projects Department at La Hague. In 1992, he was appointed General Manager of USSI (a COGEMA subsidiary) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SGN. He also was the manager of the MELOX project (Marcoule) until the end of 1995 and was in charge of the merger of the two engineering firms USI and SGN.
In 1996, he joined KREBS (an SGN subsidiary), working at its Chemoprojekt subsidiary in Prague. He was appointed President of SGN Co (an SGN subsidiary) in Tokyo, in August 1998. In January 2002, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SGN and Deputy Director of the Engineering Business Unit of COGEMA.
Nicolas Swetchine, 36, is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris. He started his career in the mobile infrastructures division of ALCATEL, where he held operational positions in Asia and Australia. He moved on to become Sales Manager firstly for Asia, then for Europe and South America.
He joined the headquarters of VIVENDI (environment & media) in 1998 where he was responsible for developing the Group in the Middle East, as part of the general delegation for international affairs. More recently, he held a number of management positions in fledgling technology companies (digital television and mobile telephony).
