At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 1300 MWe EDF fuel is in progress in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 296 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.
At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and B are in service. Line C is on standby. A total of 158 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.
At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from STADE* is finished in the T1 head-end facility. Shearing of fuel elements from KRUMMEL** started on 16th of May. A total of 140 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.
At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are on standby, line B is in service. A total of 98 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.
Work in the Moulinets cove
·The work platform called "Ile d'Oléron" left the Moulinets cove on the evening of 14th May for the Cherbourg harbour where it arrived the next day.
· Works equipment clearance continues.
