At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 900 MWe EDF fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 245 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and B are in service. Line C is on stand-by. A total of 127 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from WURGASSEN* is in progress in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 115 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, line A is on stand-by, lines B and C are in service. A total of 86 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work is continuing on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • the final, lower profile of the sea discharge pipe was achieved on March 17 and pipe covering work is finished;
  • works equipment clearance is under-way;
  • the work platform will be removed as soon as meteorological conditions permit.
