Arrival of spent fuel from Germany at the COGEMA Logistics railway terminal of Valognes.

Four casks of spent fuel from the German nuclear power plant of Stade arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving COGEMA-La Hague on February 17th, 2005, at 12:54 pm.
The fuel elements will be stored at the COGEMA La Hague pools for cooling, then reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Germany for disposal.
