Arrival of Spent Fuel from Switzerland at the COGEMA Logistics Railway Terminal of Valognes

One cask of spent fuel from the Swiss nuclear power plant of Gösgen arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving COGEMA La Hague on March 25th, 2005, at 9:39 am.
The fuel elements will be stored at the COGEMA La Hague pools for cooling, then reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Switzerland for disposal.
