Arrival of spent fuel from Italy at the TN International railway terminal of Valognes (France)

Two casks of spent fuel from the Italian nuclear power plant of Caorso arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving the AREVA La Hague plant on December 18, 2007, at 16:46 pm.
The fuel elements will be reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Italy for disposal.
