Anne Lauvergeon to visit SOCATRI on Friday

Anne Lauvergeon, CEO of AREVA, will be visiting the SOCATRI plant, part of the Tricastin site, this Friday.
Once there, she will examine what caused the incident that occurred on July 8 at one of the plant’s treatment stations. She will also meet with SOCATRI employees and a number of elected officials and public authority representatives.
An internal audit and general inspection are underway. Despite being classified as INES level 1, the incident has nonetheless stirred up emotions and warrants the taking of sanctions against any potential failings. The AREVA group will draw all consequences there may be from the incident.
