Arrival of spent fuel from Italy at the TN International railway terminal of Valognes (France).

Four casks of spent fuel from the Italian nuclear power plant of Caorso arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving the AREVA La Hague plant on December 2, 2008, at 13:04 pm.

The fuel elements will be reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Italy for disposal.
