Four casks of spent fuel from the Italian nuclear power plant of Caorso arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving the AREVA La Hague plant on February 24, 2009, at 12:10 pm.
The fuel elements will be reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Italy for disposal.
