AREVA to partner the French Match Racing sailing team

In 2008, AREVA will be lending its support to France's Match Racing sailing team, to be made up of several crews selected by the French Sailing Federation in January.

These will then go on to take part in the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT), an international circuit to decide who wins the title of world champion. The circuit brings together the cream of internationally-renown yachtsmen, who race in ten events held in Brazil, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Switzerland, Bermuda, Denmark, Korea and Malaysia.

Following on from its involvement in the last two editions of the America's Cup, AREVA remains firmly attached to defending France's hopefuls at the highest level of match racing competition. As they compete in the WMRT, the French team will rub shoulders with some of the finest names in the 2007 America 's Cup, who will also be out to prove themselves in the next edition.
