Feedback on Anne Lauvergeon’s visit to Japan
News brief
ACTIVITIES / NUCLEAR POWER
April 22, 2008
Anne Lauvergeon's business trip to Japan was marked by two important events:
- several front-end contracts for worth a total two billion euros,
- an agreement extending the scope of AREVA and MHI’s nuclear fuel partnership.
The agreements are a sign of the confidence in the group’s products and services on the part of Japanese electric companies.
The AREVA CEO also accompanied Prime Minister François Fillon on a tour of the Rokkasho-Mura used fuel treatment facility.
The visit was an occasion for AREVA to reinforce its ties with Japan and reassert the group’s determination to participate actively in the development of the nuclear program. JNFL, the Japanese electric company that will be operating the facility, expressed its gratitude for the longstanding and supportive partnership between France and Japan.
