INB (Industrias Nucleares do Brasil) and AREVA have signed a major conversion services contract, covering the next 5 years of conversion service supply for ANGRA* Nuclear Power Plants (existing units 1 and 2 and next unit 3).

Both partners stress the value and benefits of such a longstanding agreement that brings security of supply to INB and is in line with AREVA's strategy to develop stable and long term partnerships with major actors in the nuclear field.

For both parties, the contract is a clear opportunity to increase cooperation, and could potentially lead to more comprehensive partnership in the field of nuclear fuel cycle.

INB declared: "This contract strengthens even more the relationship between our two companies and confirms the proximity between Brazil and France. Next 5 years working together will surely open new opportunities for both parties".

"We are honoured to have been awarded this contract. These commercial successes confirm the group's position as world leader in conversion services." said Christian Barandas, Executive Vice President of AREVA's Chemistry Business Unit.
