MOX Fuel Shipment from France to Japan

Following our press release issued on February, 8th, 2010, we are now implementing the preparative actions related to the coming recycled MOX fuel transport from France to Japan.
This transport will depart shortly from Cherbourg (France), heading to Japan where the MOX fuel will be delivered to the Japanese utilities KANSAI EPCo and KYUSHU EPCo.
This maritime transport will be carried out by the British dedicated INF3 ships Pacific Pintail and Pacific Heron of the British company PNTL.
A press Centre will be set up in Cherbourg at the time of the loading operations, according to practicalities to be communicated in due time.
This statement is being released simultaneously in France and the UK by AREVA and International Nuclear Services respectively.
