At its May 5 meeting, the AREVA TA Board of Directors appointed Benoît BAZIRE to the position of CEO of AREVA TA.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Benoît BAZIRE is a graduate of the École Polytechnique, École Na-tionale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées, École Nationale d’Administration, and Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale. He began his career in 1978 in France’s department of naval constructions, before joining the ministry of defense in 1983. He occupied a number of posts at Thomson-CSF from 1988 to 1993, when he became head of cabinet for the Delegate General of Armament. He was then Director General of Services for the Picardie region from 1995 to 1998, at which time he joined the Thales group to develop its optronics and optics activi-ties. In 2005, he became head of the Qioptiq group, the optics specialist located in Europe, Asia and the USA.
