Completion of MOX fuel shipment to Japan

Following our statement of 9th April, 2010, we can announce the safe completion of the shipment of Mixed Oxide (MOX) fuel that departed from France on 8th April 2010 (GMT). In total two deliveries were realized. The final delivery to Takahama nuclear power station (Kansai EpCo) was completed on 30th June 2010. Delivery to Genkai power station (Kyushu EpCo) had been completed on 28th June 2010. Consequently to the previous shipment realized in 2009, two reactors have been loaded with MOX fuel in Japan and are currently producing electricity. This statement is being released simultaneously in France, in United-Kingdom and Japan by AREVA, International Nuclear Services and ORC respectively.
