Inauguration of a day nursery in Gabon

A day nursery built by the Compagnie des Mines d’Uranium de Franceville (COMUF) was inaugurated on October 9th, 2010. AREVA is the COMUF’s principal shareholder.
Gabon’s Health and Family Minister was present at the inauguration, along with regional authorities and 200 participants. The VIPs lauded the project and the local press covered the event.
The nursery is to be managed by the Ministry, and will serve disadvantaged young mothers. Day care registration started on October 11th, 2010.
